Doctorate in Management

The program begins with structured coursework aimed at developing research competencies. Following this, students undertake a research project that applies these competencies to enhance existing business practices or introduce new ones.

The program is divided into two stages. In the first year, students complete five taught modules, earning a total of 60 ECTS Credits. Successful completion of Stage 1 allows students to progress to the final Practice-Based Thesis, which they will complete within two years from the start of their research. The research duration can range from a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 3 years.

Program Features

Successful students of Stage 1 will receive an MPhil-Management degree from Universidad Catolica De Murcia, Spain, if they choose to exit the program without completing the final research thesis.

While the standard research duration is 2 years, learners have the flexibility to extend it by an additional year. Ambitious students may even complete their research within one year, depending on their schedule.

Learning Path

This program entails a 3-year applied Doctorate degree in management and leadership research, emphasizing organizational management and leadership. As part of the program, students have the opportunity to pursue an additional exit award: the Master of Philosophy in Applied Business Leadership and Management. To qualify for this award, students must complete 1 year of coursework and have the option to publish a scoping or systematic review on an applied leadership and management topic. This additional distinction can be claimed upon payment, recognizing the student’s role as a researcher
